SaaS, or software-as-a-service, first gained popularity among entrepreneurs in the late 90s. Over the last twenty years, it’s seen an immense growth with products like G Suite and Zoom whose greater security, rapid-fire updates, and better user experience prove SaaS to be an irrefutable boon.

We at The Boxoffice Company are proud to offer the best SaaS solutions to our cinema industry clients. For a fraction of the price, you get access to an entire suite of products elegantly integrated with software that, for a similar custom-built platform, would come at a higher cost.

Our SaaS solution was created to build websites that can accommodate custom designs.

SaaS, like the internet, has come a long way over the last two decades. Despite its ubiquity, many still question its edge in the cinema industry landscape, fearing that SaaS products aren’t as customizable as other tailor-made solutions. Bespoke products, however, come with several drawbacks: constant maintenance, limited customer support, and high costs. There’s no beating the benefits of a unified back-end.

That’s why we’ve developed an easy-to-use platform to help you manage your website, sell online tickets, and retarget your customers via smart emailing campaigns and push notifications on our white-label mobile applications. This is anything but a set-and-forget solution. Our UX, product, and engineering teams are fully dedicated to adding new functionalities that evolve constantly with the market and your needs.

How we’re fulfilling your needs in this new environment

Our SaaS solution was created to build websites that can accommodate custom designs. Every feature, say header, footer, and menu, is accompanied by a widget. We’re currently developing various widget options, meaning that a header, for example, would come with alternative configurations: one with a logo on the left, one in the middle that shrinks as the user scrolls, or one with all menu items in a hamburger format.

These configurations aren’t arbitrary. In fact, we’re building them according to custom design requests we’ve received time and again. By increasing widget options, we increase the number of website variations which virtually guarantees you a site with its own look.

If the base varieties don’t suffice and you want a specific design that isn’t included, our UX team will make it happen in one of two ways:

  1. They will work with you on a specific design that encompasses functionalities we’ve already developed. In that case, we will assign one of our front-end developers to develop your custom theme and link it to the website manager for ongoing management.
  2. Should you, on the other hand, want a website that contains functionalities we haven’t yet developed, we could, for example, create new widgets or incorporate providers we don’t currently work with. We’re happy to build your custom site and develop original functionalities so long as it adheres to our product roadmap.

A look at our SaaS roadmap

We chose to shift to a SaaS model to concentrate our efforts where they’re needed most, building and bettering a product for you. We wanted to consolidate solutions, eliminate idle custom experiences, and truss our clients onto a single platform powerful enough to support them all. An increase in efficiency would mean rapid internal improvements and quicker new-client setups. We’d also be able to extend our global reach with a product that supports various languages, predominant POSs, payment processors, and payment methods in our target territories.

Your success is just as important to us as your satisfaction.

We’ve assembled a body of Customer Success Managers who will work to gather feedback on product improvements, new product development, and overall integrations. Most important are the requests we receive from you. We wouldn’t be able to deliver top-notch products without them — so please, keep them coming. As such, it’s important to us that you have a clear sense of what happens after we’ve received them.

  1. First, we analyze it to make sure we understand your message clearly. If we don’t, we’ll have a little tête-à-tête to get more info! Sometimes, we’ll come back with an alternative solution that supports your goal, even if it’s not exactly the one you’d had in mind.
  2. We also assess the request to see how it aligns with our strategic goals. Is it already included in our roadmap for later? Does the request diverge from our strategic goals, and if so, what is the opportunity cost? For example, if we delay X to fit in Y, are the consequences beneficial or adverse?
  3. We weigh whether a request benefits one client or all users of our SaaS products.
  4. We calculate the time cost to implement the request. Is building this feature a quick win, or is it a months-long project?

After mulling over the costs and benefits, we categorize the potential outcomes as follows:

  • Yes: it’s a great idea that urgently needs to happen, so we’ll reserve what we’d planned to implement it right away — particularly if it’s a quick fix.
  • Yes: it’s a great idea already in our roadmap. If it isn’t time-sensitive, we’ll introduce it as we’d planned; if it is time-sensitive however, we’ll make sure to fast-track it as soon as possible.
  • Maybe: it’s an interesting idea that could be beneficial, but it isn’t time-sensitive, nor simple to adjust, so we’ll revisit it at a later date.
  • No: unfortunately, it doesn’t align with our endeavors. It’s too costly and/or beneficial to very few, therefore we won’t move forward with it as part of our roadmap. However, we will scope it out and let you know the cost for developing this feature as a custom project.

No matter the conclusion, we encourage you to continue submitting feedback. We’ll always do our best to let you know where we see it fitting into our roadmap and if it aligns with our mission to develop a best-in-class product that guarantees your satisfaction and success.
